The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim “A Cornered Rat” Voice Fix

Hello guys!

 

Lately I’ve seen a lot of people having issues with completing the quest “A Cornered Rat”. The reason is simple, the voice is missing so you’re not able to speak with Esben.

 

Therefore,  I created a simple and fast tutorial on YouTube on how to fix it. Nevertheless, If you would like to have the tutorial text based, I’ll be happy to post it here as well.

Bug Fix; “A Cornered Rat” Voice Fix

 

Alright, so basically you’ve probably gotten to Esben already. Trying to talk with him, without luck huh? I’ll be happy to help.

 

1. Open up your Skyrim folder, and find the Data Folder.

 

2. Download this: http://www.mediafire.com/?o5948hn118jfpak

 

3. After you downloaded the file in .2 put it in your Data folder.

 

4. Open the BSAUnpack file, hit open and find the file “Skyrim – VoiceExtra.bsa”

 

5. When you opened the VoiceExtra file, hit Extract all and look for your Data folder inside your Skyrim Folder.

 

6. After extracting, you’ll see a Sound folder in your Data folder.

 

7. Run game, finish the quest, and enjoy the main story and upcoming quests!
